Electromagnet Specifications Abbess 4 inch laboratory electromagnet systems are designed to meet industrial, educational, and research needs requiring very high, uniform field strengths in wide range of air gaps. The customer may choose either cylindrical pole caps for uniform fields, tapered pole caps for high field applications or Faraday pole caps to provide optimum areas of constant gradient (dH/dx) or constant force (hdH/dx) over a sample region for magnetic susceptibility experiments.
