Abbess thermal vacuum systems are meticulously engineered to achieve Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) levels, even under typical gas loads from Devices Under Test (DUTs). At the heart of our Thermal Vacuum Control Technology is its capability to cater to a wide range of applications. Our expertise also extends to Thermal Control Units (TCUs) that utilize LN2 technology, providing simulation for extremely low temperatures relevant to geo-stationary orbits and beyond.

PORTS
- NPT Ports: Available in sizes such as 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″ (half or full couplings)
- NW or KF Flanges: NW 16, NW 25, NW 40, NW 50, etc.
- ISO Flanges: ISO 63, ISO 80, ISO 100, ISO 160, ISO 200, etc.
- CF Flanges: CF 1.33″, CF 2-3/4″, CF 3.5″, CF 4.5″, CF 6″, CF 8″, etc.
- Other: Swagelok, VCR, VCO, ASA flanged, O-ring compression
FEEDTHROUGHS
- Coaxial: Specify type (BNC, MHV, SHV, Type N, SMA) and if shielded or double-ended
- Electrical: Specify number of conductors, amps, and voltage per feedthrough. Options include Type C and D Sub (9, 15, 25, and 50 pin) and multi-pin configurations
- Rotary Shaft: Specify shaft size (3/8″ or 1/2″ or larger) and desired RPM. Standard is Ferro Fluidic style
- Thermocouple: Specify connector type (push-on, screw type), number of wire pairs, and thermocouple wire types (K, C, E, J, T, N, R, S). Up to 5 pairs per T/C feedthrough
- Fluid: Specify number of lines, diameter, and preferred end connections (NPT, Swagelok compression, Swagelok VCO or VCR)
- Fiberoptic: standard and custom options available
- Tubing: Compression style, specify tube diameter
- Cold Finger: molecular getter addition for vacuum systems
- Purge Gas Kit: adds the ability to bleed or purge in any desired gas into any of our chambers or systems
- RGA: ability to identify leaks and outgassing properties of your AUT
- TQCM: uses changes in the resonant frequency of a quartz crystal to determine the amount and rate at which mass is deposited onto the crystals surface
VIEWPORTS
- ISO 100 (4″ dia view), ISO 160 (6″ dia view), ISO 200 (8″ dia view): Standard borosilicate glass viewports
- NW 25, NW 40, NW 50: Glass blank viewports
- Custom Rectangular Acrylic: Viewport options available
SHELVING
- Fully removable shelves or trays made from 304 SS or aluminum, supported on rails
- 304 SS slide-out shelves with extension rail system for easy loading and unloading
- Shelves with underneath strip electric heaters for direct contact heating
- Thermal platens with machined cooling circuits for use with external thermal chillers
- Fully removable tray/rack system on rails for handling high volumes of parts
- Customized internal LED lighting
- Includes electrical feedthroughs for LED lighting power with a 120v NEMA
- Illuminated viewports
CARTS AND STANDS
- Options include extruded aluminum framed carts, stainless steel welded frames, or powder-coated steel welded frames
