Increased Automation/Manual Movements In Vacuum

Wobble Stick

A wobble stick allows movement within a vacuum chamber. Most movements that would typically be done by hand can be done through a wobble stick. For example, in a vacuum under pressure, a wobble stick can move to press a button or rotate an object.

While linear actuators only allow movement along one of the three planes, a wobble stick can also introduce movement along all of the planes within an approximately 270-degree cone volume with a ball mechanism.

A wobble stick is purely mechanical, however it can be partnered with other accessories to gain maximum control over in vacuum processes.  For example, a liquid feed-thru hose can be made more rigid when a rod is attached. This can also allow for more movement manipulation of the hose, rather than have it simply fall to the ground of the chamber.

Wobble sticks are available in a wide range of lengths, movement options, and specifications.
